Photography Studio

Depending on whether a photography class is shooting-based, darkroom-based, or content-based the meeting place of the class may vary. Generally, photography classes meet in the finishing studio (W20-429) or visual arts studio (W20-425). The darkroom is located in room 426, across from the visual arts studio.

Students taking classes or an independent study in photography will have access to the darkroom, finishing studio, and visual arts studio. If a class does not provide darkroom instruction, students must have previously taken a darkroom-based class to use the darkroom and must attend the non-class darkroom re-orientation, which will take place on Monday, June 16 at 6:00PM for the summer term.

Use of darkroom chemicals is included with darkroom access. Students supply their own paper and film.

Various cameras are also available for checkout. If you want to check out a camera, talk to your instructor or email saadarkman.

Also, if you notice that the darkroom has run out of some chemistry, or you want to report a problem, please email saadarkman.
